Submitting applications to the Summer School “Personal Identity” is Opened!

The Moscow Center for Consciousness Studies (MCCS) is hosting a summer school on June 23d – July 1st, 2018, which will be devoted to the problem of Personal Identity. This year summer school will be led by philosopher Prof. Richard Swinburne of the University of Oxford, assisted by Dr. Eric Yang of Santa Clara University.

Graduate students and recent PhDs are invited to submit applications to participate in this summer school.


You will be hosted by MCCS on the beautiful island of Malta for a week.


MCCS will provide accommodation, breakfasts, lunches, and transfers for all participants. Also, it will compensate fully for travel expenses to and from Malta for two select applicants, which will be chosen by the organizing committee.


To apply for admission to the summer school please submit a ten-page writing sample (2,500 to 3,000 words) which demonstrates your knowledge of current work on personal identity and your own ideas about this topic. Please also submit a Curriculum Vitae, and two letters of recommendation from philosophers working in this area, who are familiar with your work.
