In July, Nizhny Novgorod hosted the annual Summer Philosophical School organized by the Moscow Center for Consciousness Studies. The school was being held for the fifth time, but for the first time in Nizhny Novgorod. This year, the philosophers discussed with the participants the metaphysics of possible worlds — one of the main topics of analytical philosophy - and also, as part of their cultural programm, listened to industrial in the crematorium.
